HOW TO MEASURE YOUR WINDOWS
Notes:
  • Finished shade height may not be exactly as specified if the exact dimension falls in the middle of a wide slat.
  • Finished product height may have a tolerance of +1/2”.
  • Use a metal tape measure for all measurements

Measuring for inside mounted blinds
  1. Measure the width of window opening at 3 different places and use the narrowest dimension for ordering. The factory will take a small allowance off of your measurements for operating clearance unless you specify otherwise. Your measurement should be the exact opening size to the nearest 1/16".
  2. Measure the height of the window from the top of the opening to the top of the sill in 2 places.
  3. Take all measurements flush with the wall.
  4. To install the product flush with the window frame a minimum window depth of 2" is required.

Measuring for outside mounted blinds
  1. Measure the exact width of the area to be covered. It is recommended that 3" be added to the product width for the standard overlap.
  2. Measure the height of the area to be covered. Measure from the ceiling or desired point above the window to approx. 1 1/2" below the window frame.
